Dr Gording is affiliated with a well known corneal
specialty practice.
In addition to
participating in the general care of patients, he assisted in pre
and post-operative care of surgical patients and the management of
pathology cases. Dr
Gording was also
responsible for the prescribing of contact lenses, including many
challenging cases such as post keratoplasty, keratoconus, and
other corneal dystrophies.
1990
to present:
Established his practiced in Westwood, where he continues
to this day. He
initially acquired the practice of Dr Leon Lipkis.
In 1996,he moved to a new location in Westwood after
acquiring the practice of Dr Harvey Temkin.
Most recently, he acquired the practice of Dr Martin
Prince. Dr Gording
enjoys referrals from retinal specialists, corneal special, and
internists.
1991
Developed a specialty in theatrical contact lenses.
Dr Gording has become one of the largest providers of
lenses to he entertainment industry in the United States.
He has designed and furnished contact lenses for numerous
films, television series, music videos, and commercials.
His credits include "Buffy the Vampire Slayer",
"The X Files", "Interview with the Vampire",
"Lord of the Rings", "Austin Powers 3",
"Vanilla Sky", "Minority Report", and many
others.
Dr Gording has worked with many of today's most notable
personalities, such as Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Michael Jackson,
Nicholas Cage, Charlize Theron, Cameron Diaz, Michelle Gellar,
Mira Sorvino, Ashley Judd, Mike Myers, and many others.
Make-up artists such a Sam Winston, Michelle Burke, Greg
Cannon, Todd MacIntosh, Debra Larsen, and the Jim Henson Creature
Shop have repeatedly asked for him to assist them in their various
projects.
Dr Gording was nominated for an Academy Award in the
Science and Technology category.
Consultant
Experience:
Co-management of Surgery Patients.
Dr Gording, in conjunction with A Center for Vision Care,
assisted other optometrists with all aspects of co-management of
cataract and RK patients.
PRIO Consultant. Dr
Gording was among the first consultant to the eye doctors in the
use of a special test to help other doctors prescribe for computer
vision syndrome from Santa Barbara to San Diego.
National speaker to other eye doctors in the use of the new
Retinal Panoramic Imaging.
Consultant to many businesses in regards to the proper use
of computers. By
promoting good visual ergonomics, visual complaints are reduced
and productivity is enhanced.
