COMPREHENSIVE EYE EXAM

Quality eye care begins with a thorough eye exam by a qualified doctor who cares about your special needs.  This kind of care is generally best found in private  practice, not in any mall setting.  Whether your interest is contact lenses, an up-to-date pair of glasses, or concern about a medical condition, Dr Gording will address your questions during your examination.  Good eye health begins with routine eye exams, and should start as early as 6 months of age.

KERATOCONUS
is a progressive corneal dystrophy that conventional lenses or contacts cannot correct.  Special contact lenses are required. Dr Gording's many years working with corneal specialists qualifies him as an expert in this field who can fit these lenses successfully.

CRT
is a new technology that uses special contacts like a retainer.  Patients sleep with them on, remove them in the morning, and continue to see clearly for the rest of the day.  An excellent choice for athletes, stunt people, surfers!

SPECIAL TINTED CONTACT LENSES
are lenses that can be tinted or custom hand painted to achieve a wide range of effects. They can be made to look like a natural eye for people who have had an injury that may have caused a disfigurement, or anything that has cause the appearance to change.  These lenses are often used in film and television for special effects, but they aren't just for the movies. Dr. Gording is a natural leader in fitting these lenses.  Think contact lenses as sunglasses for boating, cycling, running, outdoor stuff.  Fashion models can wear them and not squint in bright lights.  Yellow tinted lenses can enhance vision in low light.  A business can have logo lenses for trade shows!  Applications are limited only by one's imagination.

LASIK
is a refractive surgery Dr  Gording has had personally.  In coordination with a corneal specialists he assists in the treatment, and he will be happy to advise you if you are considering this procedure.

EYE DISEASES
are often treated by optometrists.  Dr. Gording was one of the first to receive an expanded license.  Experience is what counts, and his years of working with ophthalmologists assures you of top quality care in treating diseases from glaucoma to conjunctivitis.  When a referral is necessary, our affiliation with some of the top specialists assures you of continuity of care.

COMPUTER VISION SYNDROME
has become a serious vision concern that affects millions of people.  Dr Gording was one of the first consultants to other eye doctors, from Santa Barbara to San Diego, to provide the right tests to get the right results.
